Territorial development evaluation at the ESOC-LAB

ESOC-LAB has also achieved a strong track record in evaluation through its projects on territorial assessment and territorial programme formulation. Through the use of methods such as the SWOT contextual territorial analysis, projects undertaken by ESOC-LAB have incorporated the explicit as well as the implicit assets present in national, regional, and local communities. They have evaluated the effectiveness as well as the potentials of regional and local development programmes in achieving the restructuring of socio-economic systems. In its evaluation projects the ESOC-LAB has been a conceptual and methodological innovator, incorporating the aim of assessing the environmental and socio-economic sustainability of territorial development for future generations.

ESOC-LAB's experience in territorial development evaluation has therefore focused on: territorial assessment and programme formulation.
